Office Manager
Be the welcoming heartbeat of Cambridge Enterprise: lead office operations, empower the team, and shape a seamless, supportive workplace every day.

West Cambridge | From £30,000 | Full-time | Office working
Make every day at Cambridge Enterprise feel seamless, organised and welcoming.
Why you will love this role
This role sits at the heart of the Cambridge Enterprise office. You'll keep the workplace running smoothly, whether that's supporting employees, hosting visitors or overseeing office operations.
You'll lead the services that people notice every day. From reception and meeting spaces to hospitality, supplies and office logistics, you'll create an environment where colleagues and visitors feel supported from the moment they walk through the door.
Alongside managing our office operations, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the Hauser Forum Seminar Centre and lead our Office Coordinator (to be hired). You'll have the autonomy to improve processes, raise service standards and shape how our workplace experience evolves over time. We're a small People and Ops team that likes to move quickly, so you'll inherit solid foundations and have real scope to build on them.
Without this role, many of the things people take for granted simply wouldn't happen. You'll be the person who keeps everything connected and organised behind the scenes.
What we're looking for
You've ran office operations, workplace services or something similar, and you know what good looks like.
You've led people before and enjoy supervising, coaching & developing, especially the part where someone grows because of you.
Serious organisational skills and super confident juggling multiple priorities at the same time.
You spot problems early, fix them, then improve the process so they don't come back.
Obsessed with providing a great service. You care how colleagues and visitors feel from the moment they walk in.
Excellent communicator, equally comfortable with a new starter or the exec team.
You've coordinated suppliers, services, hospitality or workplace logistics.
Comfortable with tech and Microsoft Office, and genuinely curious about using AI to make things run better.
Reliable, discreet, and detail-obsessed.
Nice to have
You’ve ran a reception or front-of-house function.
You’ve supported events, hospitality or conference facilities.

Diversity and equality matter
These are our ideal requirements, but we know some people are less likely to apply for the role unless they check every single box. At Cambridge Enterprise, we promote a diverse, inclusive and empowering culture, so if you feel you have most of the skills and experience needed, we’d love to hear from you.
If you have any questions about the interview process, or if you need any reasonable adjustments, please don’t hesitate to contact Sofia or the People and Culture team at people@enterprise.cam.ac.uk
